J.D. Mills Company is a Northwoods lifestyle store, established in
1901, in Ely, MN. Ely is a casual town where dressing up
means putting on a pair of khaki twill slacks or your best pair of
jeans with a nice shirt or blouse.
Mills carries clothes for men and women which are rugged enough for the outdoors, yet look great for going out on the town or to a special event in the Northland. Mills carries apparel and footwear for men and women. Jeans and casual slacks, rugged outdoor pants, shirts in a variety of textures and fabrications, sweaters, jackets, socks, shoes and boots. Mills specializes in natural fiber cotton and / or wool apparel and outerwear, carrying super soft long underwear in washable merino wool, merino wool socks, wool pants, shirts and jackets. You may also find some great synthetic technical clothing for the outdoors. We also have a fine selection on headwear. Summer and winter for protection from the sun or cold; knit caps, wool hats and wool felt outback hats. Gloves and mitts too! Our major brands for wool goods are Pendelton, Filson, Woolrich, Stromy Kromer, Minus 33 and Wigwam socks. Mills footwear department has a good selection of comfortable casual shoes and boots for town and the outdoors. Merrel, Keen, Clarks and Nunn bush are the major lines carried in the store. |
